Culligan Reverse Osmosis Systems

Culligan reverse osmosis systems are not new to the market. In fact, Culligan r.o. systems have been around for decades.

Culligan began manufacturing water purification products over 70 years ago.

Since that time, Culligan has incorporated the reverse osmosis method of purifying water for most of their products.

Culligan water filters are known for producing clean and clear water for consumption. They do this by using reverse osmosis systems to purify the water of most contaminants.

Key Features of Culligan Reverse Osmosis Systems

Filtration Method

Culligan reverse osmosis water systems use 3 mediums of filtration to properly filter your water.

The sediment filter prevents the membrane from being clogged. The carbon filter reduces the amount of chlorine that goes through the membrane. Remember that chlorine has an adverse effect on membrane.

Availability of Faucets

Culligan faucets are available in white or chrome. The stylish faucet will compliment any style kitchen.

The faucet is also easy to install and easier to operate.

Saves Space

The design of the unit saves space. Culligan r.o. water filters are designed to save space around your house or business.

While the reverse osmosis systems are not particularly small, the systems are not as large as other units on the market.

Saves Energy

Whenever the tank is full, the system shuts off and this saves energy and water.

This prevents the tank from over flowing and wasting water.

Better Quality Water

Culligan systems not only improve the quality of drinking water but also the overall quality of your water.

Not only will your drinking water taste better but also your beverages such as coffee, tea, and ice.

Eliminates Over 90% of Contaminants

Culligan r.o. water systems remove over 90% of most contaminants such as copper, mercury, fluoride, barium, lead and asbestos.

Culligan's 3 filter system removes a lot more than the average carbon filter. You can be assured that your water will be much healthier and taste much better than before.

How Do Culligan Reverse Osmosis Systems Work?

The water passes through 3 processes before it comes out of your faucet.

The first filter is a 5 micron sediment filter that removes dirt, rust and other visible particles from your water. These sediments are not good for your health and would also clog and damage the membrane of the Culligan system.

Then there is a carbon filter that eliminates bad taste and odour as well as sulphur and chlorine.

Culligan uses a carbon filter right before the water reaches the membrane to remove chlorine that "wears and tears" the membrane. In other words, chlorine reduces the effectiveness of the membrane.

Whatever impurities that are left in the water are removed in the next stage.

The final stage includes using a semi- permeable membrane to remove over 99% of contaminants from your water.

The water is pushed through the membrane, leaving the water free of impurities and contaminants. All contaminants are diverted away from the storage tank.

Even though Culligan reverse osmosis systems use a lot of water to produce 1 gallon of pure water, Culligan water filters are very effective.
